So, having finished editing the 3DS MAX render of my Site model in Photoshop so I’ve quickly inserted it into the final pdf document and sent it away for assessment (late, as usual).
I’m actually really happy with how this turned out, the whole complex looks… Solid, like it isn’t going anywhere for a few centuries.
Ive also settled on a name for the project; ‘Building Blocks’.
Sound a bit childish? Well hang on a moment…
These homes are meant to be a starting point for the homeless and disadvantaged, a safe haven so that they can begin rebuilding their lives. If you add that to the fact that the site plan looks like a a series of stone blocks, you see where the name stems from.
So above you can see how the place is layed out. The big white building in the centre left is a communal centre with places to gather, or wash laundry… or both, plus a small office space
